About Me

After four years of long-distance running (5k, 10k, half-marathons) I got a little burnt out and decided to try my hand at triathlons. This blog is a journey into my training regime, as well as the play-by-play experiences I have had while competing in these amazingly fun events!

Training resumes...

It's three days after the triathlon, and training has continued. 900 meters of swim yesterday, and I got back on the bike for a 50 minute spin class this evening. Feeling pretty good, but can definitely see that I have a ways to go before I'm Oly and Half-Ironman ready - especially the swim portion. I'm still taking swim lessons, and need to continue to work on my form and endurance - just seem to be getting really out of breath lately. It probably wouldn't hurt to do some strength training as well. All of this training will be much easier when I switch to a new position at work at the beginning of March. Will be getting off at least 2 hours earlier than I do now, which will help a lot. Okay - on the agenda for tomorow - a 4 mile run.
